The school day finishes at 3.30pm when all staff and pupils meet in the gym. The evening activities are read out to remind pupils what they have chosen.
If any students have misbehaved during the day, they may be given an after school detention. If this detention is successfully completed you will begin the evening with a fresh start. If you refuse to conform, your activities may be limited during the evening. Day pupils will be kept behind and go home when transport is available.
This is at 6 o’clock and is always a hot meal. Every house area has a rota and you will take turns in laying the tables and clearing away.
Monday is a ‘social skills’ night, this includes a tidy up of the house area; making sure your bags are unpacked; go through targets; do one to ones with your key worker and updating your memory books. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays you have activities with other house areas. These range from youth club, music room, relaxation, or football. Thursday is house area night where you do things together.
